March 17, 2025 (New York City) – Actors, Producers and Advocates, Pierre Jean Gonzalez and Cedric Leiba Jr, continue to expand their involvement in Broadway productions by bringing their advocacy efforts to reach Latine theater goers to support the Broadway production of Buena Vista Social Club.  Individually and as a team, they support and contribute their expertise to professional theatrical productions helping to expand and broaden the audience reach.

In adding Ambassador and Audience Development responsibilities Gonzalez and Leiba Jr continue to open doors for Latine representation and involvement in Broadway commercial productions in more diverse and influential ways.  Also recently announced is their role as Producing Partners and Audience Development for the world premiere of Domino Effect. Presented by People’s Theatre Project, LatinX Playwrights Circle, and Boundless Theatre Company, Domino Effect is a compelling new play written by award-winning playwright Marco Antonio Rogriguez and devised by immigrant artists. Performances will take place at A.R.T./New York Theaters in Manhattan from April 4 through April 20, 2025.

Appearing under the credit of LaChanze Productions Street Ambassador Team – Pierre Jean Gonzalez and Cedric Leiba Jr mark their most recent involvement in a commercial Broadway production as Ambassadors for Buena Vista Social Club to bring their influence and visibility to the production as advocates for the Latine community.  Gonzalez and Leiba Jr are part of the team with Guadalís Del Carmen organizing grassroots efforts and bringing their visibility to the production with the intention of engaging the Latine communities in New York City and beyond to raise awareness of the diverse casting and involvement of the Latine community in telling one of its own stories.

“Our goal is to support the reimagining of Broadway productions to nurture untapped talent both on and off stage, prioritize inclusivity and create productions that inspire and reflect the human condition,” explains Pierre Jean Gonzalez.  “We are working to bring the news of Buena Vista Social Club to theater goers who can anticipate an incredible experience,” says Cedric Leiba Jr.

Being engaged in these roles is an achievement in keeping with Gonzalez and Leiba Jr’s mission of representing diversity and creating more opportunities for Afro-Latine, Queer and under-represented communities in the performing arts to help tell the stories of these communities.
